Curtis Ray Taylor- Owner & Director

The Royal Diamonds Step Team was established in December 2012 under the leadership of Curtis Taylor. Curtis began his step training with E.L. Wright Middle School and went on to train under Columbia's Finest. Mr. Taylor gained his dance training under Jasmine Edney with The Company JDC from 2007-2010. Curtis's extensive training inspired him to build an organization of his own, The Vault Studios.

Within The Vault Studios is Royal Diamonds, a community based step team. The Royal Diamonds consist of very talented young men and women between the ages of 13 and 18. The team participates in numerous community service activities around the midlands. The mission of the organization is to inspire, empower, and educate young people through the art of stepping. The teams' motto is "we are a family  that remains united, under no circumstances should we be divided." The founder believes that teamwork is essential to ones' growth. The Royal Diamonds are known for their high energy, precision, and innovative shows. Coach Curtis has led this team to many victories throughout the country.  Royal Diamonds are the first South Carolina organization to compete in the numerous competiions such as CIAA Step Show, Step USA, and Stomp Wars. The Royal Diamonds have ben crowned The 2017 Stomp War Champions. RDS represents South Carolina to the fullest as being one of the top teams in the country. Team members are not only champions on the competition floor but also in their academics. Coach Curtis motivates the members to be better students about all things. The Royal Diamonds maintain at least a 3.0 in all of their academics. Most of the members are in the top 25% of their class rankings. RDS members have a 100% rate of graduating high school students. In 2016, The Royal Diamonds opened up their very own studio, "The Vault." The motto of the studio is "The safest place for a diamond." His team is still working to build a name of excellence and hard-work!
